❌ You're on a budget: The Deebot T30S Combo is one of the more expensive robot vacuums in my guide, and if you're willing to make a few compromises on performance or features then there are plenty more affordable alternatives.

It can refill its own water tank and empty its dustbin into its base station, and it uses dual rollers, an edge brush, accurate mapping and powerful suction to deliver impressive all-around cleaning performance.

This one had us at retractable legs. A robot vacuum and mop that can clamber over obstacles really is a game-changer. Little steps though – this one can only manage obstacles up to 6cm, so think carpet strips rather than stairs.

We test fine dirt pickup by sprinkling a mix of flour and cookie crumbs on the floor, and large debris pickup using oats.

The mopping tank is Top 3 Automatic Vacuum Cleaners small, so you’ll need to refill it with detergent fairly frequently if you use it routinely. The app lets you reduce the amount of water being used, to help extend the mopping function further between refills.
